只管打坐 “SHI KAN TA ZA”

“SHI KAN TA ZA” means “Just sit with no intention” according to Dogen, the founder of the Soto Zen sect. Why do we sit? We do not sit to seek enlightenment. Each of us holds ‘Buddha’ within ourselves. Sitting itself is the act of Buddha.
